Jeff Richter
Photographer Jeff Richter is an observer; a witness who sees through the lens of his camera and brings both immense technical skills and an abiding love of the northwoods to his work. As a result, Richter's photographs reveal the audacious declarations and simplicity of the seasonal changes and the life cycles that breathe with them.
To meet Jeff Richter is, to say the least, like looking at someone very familiar. A quiet man with a quick laugh, slightly ruddy skin, I assume from being in the outdoors, and an air about him that simply states who he is. Not an air of arrogance or shyness, but just someone who knows who he is and what he is about. Someone who lives in your town, down the street, a family friend. He is both patient and clever with his lens, two traits a wildlife photographer must possess, I suppose. These traits are why he is able to capture on film what most people struggle to see for themselves.
