TRUE STORY: The Magic of Down
Last winter, one of our clients came running into the store the day after she bought her down comforter. She was laughing and told us the story of what happened the night before. Wanting a down comforter for a long time, she finally talked her husband, who was extremely skeptical, into getting one. Their only source of heat is a woodstove and every night they have to get up and fill the stove or wake up to an extremely cold house.
Well, as fate would have it, the skeptical husband is now a believer, as both he and his wife slept so soundly under that down comforter that they never woke up to fill the woodstove! They awoke to find the house at 43°, but they were still nice and warm under their comforter. Her husband told her that he hadn’t slept that good in years! She was still laughing as she said over and over "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" They now set the alarm every night to make sure they wake up to fill the stove.
That’s the magic of down. It acclimates to your temperature, keeping you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. You could say that it’s the comforter with a brain! There are so many amazing things in nature – and it’s no great surprise down is the perfect insulator.
Good Night Sleep
Hi, I'll start by saying that I am not, and never have been a "write the company" kinda guy. But I feel that this is worth my time.
I purchased a down comforter from your company not long ago. And spending that much money on a blanket, so to speak, is not something I would normally do. But I figured what the heck. I'm 44 years old and I can say, without a doubt, that it's the best money I have ever spent. The good nights sleep this thing affords me cannot be matched, in my opinion, anywhere. Who would think that a blanket would make such a difference. But this one sure does, in many ways.
One of the most remarkable things is, like most folks, all of my life I would get up and go to the restroom in the middle of the night, but not anymore. Since day one of use, I have slept through the night, have gotten up feeling great (better than ever) and had more energy to greet the day than I have ever had. I could go on and on, but I think you guys get the idea, and I would just like to say thanks!
All of the claims about this fine product are true. I plan on buying another one for the future just in case you guys are not around in 15 or 20 years.
